A home's roofline outlined in warm Christmas lights at dusk

Every December it’s the same routine: dragging the ladder out in the cold, finding the strand that worked last year and doesn’t now, and losing a Saturday to both. College Pro sends a local crew with lights we supply and a layout built for your roofline, so the only part left for you is pulling into the driveway after dark and seeing the whole thing lit.

Send us a few photos of the front of your house, or arrange an in-person quote if you’d rather walk through the ideas with us. We’ll put together a price and lighting plan, then you can choose your install date and let the crew take it from there. We’ll also come back if anything goes dark during the season and take everything down in the new year. By the time the kids start asking when the lights are going up, you can tell them they’re already taken care of.

Book early and your lights can be up before the first weekend in December, just as the rest of the neighbourhood starts glowing.

What’s Included in Your Holiday Light Installation

From the first light going up to the last one coming down, we handle the whole season. That includes the design, lights, installation, in-season maintenance and takedown, so you know exactly what’s covered from the start.

A custom design

We create a lighting plan around your home’s roofline, peaks, and gables using the photos you send us.

Lights and clips

We supply everything needed for the install, so there’s nothing to buy, untangle, or replace.

Installation

A local crew puts everything up on your scheduled date and leaves the property tidy when they’re done.

In-season maintenance

If a section goes dark during the season, let us know, and we’ll come back to get it working again.

Takedown

After the holidays, we return to take everything down for you.

Once the lights come down, they’re yours to keep. Next year, there’s no starting from scratch. We’ll use the same set and the layout already created for your home, making it that much easier to get everything back up for the season.

Residential & Commercial Christmas Light Installation

Every property calls for a different lighting plan. For homes, that might mean following the roofline, peaks, gables, and front entry. For commercial properties, it could mean highlighting storefronts, entrances, exterior features, or other areas customers see first.

Our crews build the layout around the property itself, rather than trying to force the same setup everywhere.

Residential Christmas Light installation

Homes look best when the lighting follows the architecture. Our crews focus on rooflines, peaks, gables, and front entries to create a clean, balanced look from the street. If there’s something specific you want lit, send it with your photos, and we’ll include it in the layout and quote.

Commercial Christmas Light installation

Commercial properties need lighting that works with the building and the way customers see it. We can highlight storefronts, entrances, rooflines, and other key exterior features to create a polished seasonal look. Send us photos of the property and what you’d like to feature, and we’ll build it into the layout and quote.

How Our Outdoor Christmas Light Installation Process Works

Bringing your holiday light installation to life is a three-step process, and you won’t need to be home for most of it. To get started:

A homeowner taking a phone photo of the front of their house

Send us photos

A few shots of the front of your house are usually enough for us to see your roofline, the height we’re working with, and where the lights should run.

We come back with a price and a proposed design, so there’s no sales visit to sit through before you know what it costs.

Pick your install date

Once you’re happy with the plan, we book you in, and the crew arrives with the lights, the clips, and everything else needed to install them.

Once the crew is finished, all that’s left is to enjoy the lights. We’ll keep them shining through the season, then come back in the new year to take everything down.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Holiday Light Installation

Do I need my own lights?

No. We can supply the lights and clips needed for your installation, or use your existing lights if you already have a set you’d like us to work with. We’ll build the lighting plan around your property and the areas you want to highlight.

Do you store the lights for me over the summer?

We don’t store the lights between seasons. Once we take them down, they stay with you until next year. When it’s time to decorate again, we can use the same set and the lighting plan already created for your home.

Do you take the lights down at the end of the season?

Yes. Takedown is included as part of the service. Our crew will return after the season to remove the lights, so you don’t have to get the ladder back out in January.

What happens if a strand stops working?

Let us know and we’ll come back to take care of it. In-season maintenance is included while your lights are up, so you’re not left trying to track down a problem yourself.

How much does Christmas light installation cost?

Pricing depends on the size and layout of your home, how much of it you want lit, and factors such as the height and pitch of the roofline. We can quote from photos or visit the property in person, so your price is based on the lighting plan you actually want rather than a broad average.

Do I need to be home for the install?

Usually, no. We’ll confirm the installation date and lighting plan with you beforehand, and because the work is completed outside, you generally don’t need to be home while the crew is there.

When should I book my Christmas light installation?

The earlier, the better. Installation dates fill up as the holiday season gets closer, especially in the weeks leading into December. Booking early gives you more choice of dates and helps make sure your lights are up when you want them.

Book your Christmas Lights Before the Season Fills Up

The most popular installation dates fill up quickly, especially as December gets closer. Book early to have your lights up and ready when the neighbourhood starts looking festive.
