11. Does my son/daughter need their own vehicle?
Yes – they are running their own business, so they would need a way to get around in the summer and transport ladders.
Most of our franchisees look for an old van, station wagon, SUV or pick-up truck in order to move around ladders and equipment. Surprisingly, these vehicles can be found for $500 - $1,500.
College Pro also has a trailer program in many of our areas in which we will lease the franchisees a College Pro trailer with a ladder rack. This is often useful for people who have their own vehicle already and just want to attach a trailer hitch to it.
There are many ways to get a vehicle for the summer and although it usually stands out as a big concern early, it rarely is a problem that we haven’t seen our franchise managers be able to problem solve fairly easily.
