Meghan O'Conner

As soon as I accepted the position as Franchise Manager, my life began to change. I was taught step-by-step how to run my own business. I was given tips on what to do, and what not to do. I was given support and knowledge, and above all, confidence. I was slowly transforming from student into businesswoman.

It is so hard for me to put into words how much this experience has changed my life. I took on a huge responsibility and was able to see it through to the end. I look back at some of the things I was able to accomplish and marvel at the thought that I did it, and I did it on my own with no boss, teacher, or parent telling me what to do.

It was an emotional roller coaster at times, but the experience that I have gained is invaluable. I feel confident that I could start out a job in marketing, advertising, financial planning, organizational management, event planning, accounting, distribution, or human resources and be well equipped to succeed. This adventure, that started with trying to find an internship to add to my resume, has put me in a place where I can go into any interview and feel confident in my abilities, and be able to point directly to my business’ success.
