To whom it may concern, I’m sharing my College Pro experience with you because I assume you either now or someday want to be a business owner and therefore you are exploring options with College Pro Painters. I could tell you my 9 year journey with College Pro Painters. I started as a franchisee in college, then was a General Manager after college, followed by a Transitional Business Manager and then lastly a Vice President… but that would be boring. Here is what I can tell you as a business owner now; life is harder than you know it but living is better than you can ever expect it, so accept the reality of your situation and wake up every morning, splash cold water on your face and go seize the day. College Pro has taught me sound principles as a small business owner which are as follows:

1.)    Put God 1^st, Family 2^nd, Money 3^rd2.)    Don’t fear money, respect it
3.)    Be opportunity driven and problem solving orientated
4.)    No favors for you!
5.)    Listen to your market and Listen to your people
6.)    Know your numbers
7.)    Expect more out of your people and the most out of yourself

At College Pro I learned that while facing adversity you fight for the right solution not the easiest, fastest, or cheapest and although I made mistakes along the way I always strived for doing right in my decision making. Based off this philosophy and sound principles we as a company made strides in the market place, developed and lead great people, and made some great money. If you are looking for an opportunity to test your management / sales skills, run a Franchise. If you are looking for an opportunity to test your leadership skills, become a General Manager. If you are looking for an opportunity to manage a profit/loss statement and develop a culture, become a Vice President. College Pro Painters has been a huge part of my life and it plays a tremendous role in how I conduct my own business now. I believe that the skills I learned with College Pro Painters along with the leaders I followed have definitely helped us to become the fastest growing Floor Coverings International franchise in history.

College Pro Painters has the right values and these values have been driven into the core of “how” I conduct business during my time with College Pro and after.
