 As I have learned, many people have dreams, but most people don’t actually try to pursue them. My parents were a bit skeptical {about College Pro}, but my father had the guts to encourage me to try something, and smartly reminded me that the success or failure of this business operation was going to be due to one reason – me. It was at this point that I realized that I had a choice in life – to take an opportunity and see if I could really make it happen, or, be like many people, and say ‘I’ll do this later when the ‘timing is better’’. I chose to run my own business, with College Pro’s support, as a franchisee for two summers. It’s a decision for which I am forever grateful. I can’t begin to speak to the level of training, opportunity, hands-on learning, level of responsibility, hard work, and friendships that I have had the opportunity to enjoy because of the learning I was able to obtain as a College Pro franchisee & General Manager. I have seen & felt the impact that the power & energy of young entrepreneurs can have, and I have grown from these experiences. I can think of no other better opportunity in the world than to have the support and training of a business that has successfully been training students for forty years and that has the proven track record that College Pro provides. Please don’t be mistaken – the franchisee position is one in that takes a lot of work, a lot of responsibility, and a lot of guts to do, but the long-term payoffs are beyond measure. You will learn how to work with people, how money management really works, how to hire & train people, how to communicate with people – in other words – you will learn life skills that can’t be just taught in a classroom! These are life skills that I learned in College Pro, and still use today. I can, without any shadow of a doubt, express to you that the learning & experience you could gain as a College Pro franchisee is beyond any college degree, or any internship out there. The experience and training that I received opened numerous doors for me in my career that would not have been open if not for becoming a College Pro franchisee. I am very proud of the time I had at College Pro, and very grateful for the people I have met and had the opportunity to see grow and mature as leaders in business, their communities and with their families. College Pro is a large family – a network of like-minded individuals who share common values, and common objectives – a family of which I am very proud to be a part. |
