Student Business Management – College Pro

For over 40 years College Pro has been providing exceptional student business management and leadership training to young entrepreneurs through real-world business experiences. Thousands of students have successfully gone through our training programs, and we have often been referred to as a “Real World MBA”. Our student business management training camp has four key phases, and unfolds over the course of a season with College Pro. We coach and support you through every phase.


 
 
 

Phase 1:  Selection and Training

  • College Pro has a rigorous selection process.  Those who are selected to run a College Pro business will attend planning and training sessions covering:
    • Business planning and goal setting
    • Financial planning
    • Marketing and sales training and planning
    • Training on Employee interviewing and hiring
    • Technical knowledge of the painting or window cleaning industry


Phase 2:  Getting your business off the ground
 

  • Attend hands-on training in all aspects of delivering a quality job
  • Create and implement a marketing plan to generate customer leads
  • Follow up on your leads to sell services to homeowners
  • Create and deploy a painter or window cleaning technician recruitment plan, hire painters or window cleaners


Phase 3:  Running your business

  • Continue to market and sell to homeowners
  • Manage your projects, supply your crews with materials
  • Manage client and employee relations
  • Pay bills and manage finances
  • Monitor production schedules
  • Track performance against your business plan


Phase 4:  Closing down at the end of the summer

  • Advanced territory selection opportunity for Year Two
  • Selection of Year Two Managers
  • Close down your business
