For over 40 years College Pro has been providing exceptional student business management and leadership training to young entrepreneurs through real-world business experiences. Thousands of students have successfully gone through our training programs, and we have often been referred to as a “Real World MBA”. There is simply no other job opportunity or internship program for College and University students like ours. Through our training, you’ll learn what it takes to run a successful small business. We coach and support you through every phase. |
Phase 1: Selection and Training
- College Pro has a rigorous selection process. Those who are selected to run a College Pro business will attend planning and training sessions covering:
- Business planning and goal setting
- Financial planning
- Marketing and sales training and planning
- Training on Employee interviewing and hiring
- Technical knowledge of the painting or window cleaning industry
Phase 2: Getting your business off the ground
- Attend hands-on training in all aspects of delivering a quality job
- Create and implement a marketing plan to generate customer leads
- Follow up on your leads to sell services to homeowners
- Create and deploy a painter or window cleaning technician recruitment plan, hire painters or window cleaners
Phase 3: Running your business
- Continue to market and sell to homeowners
- Manage your projects, supply your crews with materials
- Manage client and employee relations
- Pay bills and manage finances
- Monitor production schedules
- Track performance against your business plan
Phase 4: Closing down at the end of the summer
- Advanced territory selection opportunity for Year Two
- Selection of Year Two Managers
- Close down your business
